BetMGM bonus code ROCKYBET: Tennessee vs. Georgia preview and odds
Both No. 15 Tennessee and No. 6 Georgia started 2-0 in their non-conference games, but now the rubber really meets the road as the two prepare to clash in an SEC contest at Rocky Top.
The Vols handled Syracuse and ETSU to begin the season, and have to have liked what they saw from transfer quarterback Joey Aguilar. The former App State Mountaineer quarterback has been lights out since taking his first snaps under center for the Orange, tossing for 535 yards and five touchdowns. He has not thrown an interception in that span.
He will meet a different breed of defense when Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs come to town, however. It’s early yet, Georgia ranks 7th in the FBS with yards allowed per game at 201. Limiting Tennessee’s offense has been Smart’s bread-and-butter, and the Bulldogs will again look to shut down the Volunteers as they have in the previous three meetings. Tennessee has not thrown for 200 yards in any of those losses.
Georgia heads into Neyland Stadium as slight favorites.
