On Saturday night, Lady Vols basketball reeled in one of its top targets on the recruiting trail. Four-star Gabby Minus, a top-50 recruit in the class of 2026, announced her commitment to Kim Caldwell and Tennessee.
Minus picked the Lady Vols over Baylor and Florida. Georgia and Clemson were also previously considered. She is the No. 44 recruit in the country, according to 247’s rankings. She is the No. 13 power forward and No. 4 player from the state of Georgia. Out of Dacula, the same town current Lady Vol Zee Spearman is from, she plays for Hebron Christian Academy.
Minus, standing at 6-foot, took a visit to see the Lady Vols in the opening weekend of October. This was during the bye week on the Tennessee football schedule. She was the only official visitor in town for the program that weekend.
Along with her time with Hebron Christian Academy, she also plays for Team Curry, a GUAA team sponsored by NBA superstar Steph Curry.
The Lady Vols currently hold one other commitment in the 2026 class. Oliviyah Edwards, the No. 2 overall recruit according to ESPN, picked Tennessee during her official visit in September. UT is also in the running for five-star prospect Bri Crittendon and is creating strong ties in the upcoming 2027 cycle.
