Tennessee Basketball cruised to a 99-66 win over North Florida on Wednesday night in Knoxville to improve to 3-0 on the season.
The Vols were led by a big three trio of players, with JP Estrella, Nate Ament, and Ja’Kobi Gillespie combining for 63 points in the game. Estrella led the way with 23 points and 10 rebounds, followed by Gillespie’s 21 points and seven rebounds and Ament’s 19 points and nine rebounds.
North Florida traded punches with the Vols through the first stretch of the game, even taking a 22-21 lead at one point in the first half. From there, though, it was all Tennessee, outscoring the Ospreys 78 to 44 for the win.
After the game, Tennessee head coach Rick Barnes met with the media in the Food City Center to discuss his reaction to the game. Tennessee also had Estrella and Amaree Abram speak with the media after the contest.
