For a fourth straight season, Tennessee Athletics has sold out of football season tickets. The announcement was made by UT on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Tennessee, there were 70,500 season tickets that sold out, which marks back-to-back years of a season ticket renewal rate of over 97 percent.

“We often talk about how Vol Nation sets us apart, and this is yet another remarkable testament to that,” Director of Athletics Danny White said in a press release on Tuesday. “Four consecutive seasons of selling out more than 70,000 season tickets is further proof that the best fans in all of sports are on Rocky Top. We can’t wait to feel the Neyland Effect this fall!”

There are undoubtedly some big-time games coming to Tennessee this year, which coincides with the debut of the new nine-game SEC scheduling format. The Vols will have five SEC home games this season, one more than usual, while welcoming some seldom-seen teams into Neyland Stadium. For instance, Tennessee will host both Texas and Auburn with its first two conference games, while Lane Kiffin’s LSU Tigers will make a trip to Knoxville in the penultimate week of the season. The Third Saturday in October rivalry also takes place on Rocky Top this year.
