Tennessee football is in the process of going through summer workouts as it prepares for fall camp. Then, the Vols will hit the field at Neyland Stadium against Furman to get the 2026 regular season started.
As the season approaches, DraftKings has released betting lines for select games. This includes a pivotal matchup between Tennessee and Vanderbilt to round out the regular season. At this point, the Vols are three-point favorites on the road.
Kickoff is set for Nov. 28, 2026, with a kickoff time and TV designation yet to be determined. The Vols will look to get back on track in the series after losing at home last season to Diego Pavia and company. However, UT leads the all-time series by a staggering 81-33-5 mark. This includes a 41-21-4 record on the road.

The game will feature a battle of inexperienced quarterbacks, who will likely be rounding out their first season as a full-time starter. For Vanderbilt, it’s landed on five-star freshman Jared Curtis as the starter.
On the other side, the Vols have a quarterback competition. This will feature redshirt-freshman George MacIntyre, true freshman five-star Faizon Brandon and Colorado transfer Ryan Staub. Staub is the only one with starting experience, but it was limited with the Buffaloes, and he’s projected to be the third-string option this year at Tennessee.
Defensively, Tennessee will have a new look in its staff and personnel. The Vols fired defensive coordinator Tim Banks and replaced him with former Penn State and Ohio State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles. Since his arrival, he added new pieces to his defensive staff and hammered the transfer portal to retool the defense.
