As Tennessee fans make their way down Phillip Fulmer Drive and to Neyland Stadium’s Gate 21 Saturday, they’ll be greeted by an old treat as the vintage “V O L S” signs that hung at the top of the north end zone seats until the 1999 season.
Tennessee director of athletics Danny White announced that the signs would be outside of Neyland Stadium Saturday morning.

The big news in White’s tweet is that this might not be the last Tennessee fans see of the signs. The first year athletic director hinted that the big letters may be returning to the banks of the Tennessee River in Neyland Stadium’s renovation project.
Tennessee and South Carolina are just 90 minutes away from kicking off the critical SEC matchup as the Vols debut their “dark mode” uniforms.
The Vols are favorites in the week six ESPN2 matchup.
