2013 starters: A.J. Johnson (Jr.), Dontavis Sapp (Sr.)
2016 backups: Colton Jumper (Jr.), Cortez McDowell (Jr.)
Who has the edge: While UT’s starters in 2016 would get the nod, the backups don’t compare, especially when comparing Johnson and Jumper. Sapp and McDowell are similar, but there’s just no way to compare one of UT’s all-time leaders in tackles to a former walk-on at the inside linebacker position.
