Defensive Line
Derek Barnett and Corey Vereen teamed up for a play that very well could’ve been the game winner when Barnett brought Jacob Eason down in the end zone, and forced a fumble that Vereen hopped on for a late go-ahead score. Vereen and Barnett both added an additional sack, pushing Barnett’s SEC total to four in just two games. There were certainly some glaring letdowns in the run game from this group, but the defensive line was disruptive enough that it made a positive impact on the game.
