In what ended up looking like a Big 12 shoot out, the Vols outlasted Kentucky 49-36 in an offensive affair in Neyland Stadium. The two teams piled up a combined 1,234 yards of offense in a game that wasn’t quite as close as the final score made it seem.

The Vols let Kentucky stay right with them for the entire first half before dumping on 28 unanswered points in the second half. Kentucky would tack on two late cosmetic touchdowns to make the score look more respectable.

Tennessee’s defense was gashed on the ground yet again, allowing the Wildcats to run for 443 yards against them. Luckily for the Vols, Kentucky’s defense was even worse and Dobbs, Kamara, and John Kelly do tons of damage.
