1. Bring Real Championships Back to Knoxville
Forget bowl championships. Forget being champions of life. Vol fans want real, tangible championships back in Knoxville.
Tennessee hasn’t won a championship of any sort since 1998. If you want to count an SEC East crown as a championship (many would, especially at this rate), then you have to go back to 2007 since the Vols even had that distinction. The basketball Vols haven’t won a conference championship in decades, and the baseball Vols haven’t made noise of any sort in years. Even the softball team hasn’t won a title recently despite how successful they’ve been. The Lady Vols have the most recent championship, winning the regular season SEC championship in the 2014-15 season, but the Lady Vols are measured by National Championships, and they haven’t won that since 2008.
Vol fans are starving for real championships. It’s been far too long for almost every single Tennessee athletic team since they’ve won a title, and it’s time Knoxville gets graced with an actual championship again.
