Overall
The only thing that kept the Vols from making this a bigger blowout than it ended up being was some mistakes they made themselves. Some penalties early and a few dropped passes prevented this from being a three or four score rout. Despite those mistakes, the Vols still managed to win by a couple scores and never really lost control of the game. The offense was rolling, and the defense held its ground. The Vols looked like the better team in the Music City Bowl, and they played like it too.
