Running back Jashaun Corbin is another name that should be familiar to Vol fans who follow recruiting closely.

Corbin, much like Gooden, was once committed to Tennessee. And like Gooden, Corbin’s commitment didn’t last very long. But now Corbin and the Vols have mutual interest once again.

Tennessee picked up a commitment from Corbin back on April 21st when he visited UT during their Orange and White Game. But he would decommit not even a month later on May 16th, then just a few days later on May 22nd he announced his commitment to Florida State. He would stay committed to the Seminoles for several months, but he decommitted from them on December 3rd after they made a coaching change.

Now Corbin is looking for a new home, and the Vols are in the middle of the race to land his signature.

Corbin released his top three last week, and the Vols made the cut along with Texas A&M and TCU. Tennessee is looking to add another running back in their 2018 class, and Corbin would be a perfect addition.

The 247Sports Composite rankings has Corbin as the No. 261 overall player and a four-star in the 2018 cycle. He’s also the No. 8 all-purpose back by those ratings.

  1. Im tired of chasing these kids around allowing their heads to blow up like balloons. Year in and year out, UT has top recruiting classes. And that doesnt and has not translated into much. These kids have a good year or two and jump for the NFL money. I would rather have 3star talent with young men who want to earn a degree than these 5star kids with over inflated egos.
