Tennessee only has one linebacker prospect they want to add to their 2018 class, and they’re going to do all they can to try and make him a Vol.
Quay Walker is one of the top priorities remaining for the Vols in this cycle, and for good reason. Walker has the potential to a freshman starter for Tennessee at outside linebacker, and every major SEC school wants him. He’s currently committed to Alabama, but that commitment is far from solid. Both Tennessee and Georgia have been pursuing him hard, and Walker has solid relationships with both Jeremy Pruitt and Kevin Sherrer on Tennessee’s staff.
If the Vols miss out on Walker, they won’t likely take another linebacker in the class. They already have J.J. Peterson committed and have signed hybrid end/linebacker Jordan Allen as well. Adding Walker would be huge, and he could be the gem of the signing class.
