That wasn’t a perfect game, and Tennessee made multiple mistakes that could’ve cost them the game. To their credit, though, it didn’t. The Vols found a way to bounce back after each blunder, and they proved to be the better team. Tennessee’s adjustments were better than Kentucky’s, and the Vols’ ability to come up with key stops when it mattered most was also better. The win propelled Tennessee to 5-5, and a postseason berth looks almost guaranteed right now.

With the win, Tennessee now just needs one more win out of its two remaining games against Missouri and Vanderbilt to reach a bowl game. After Mizzou and Vandy combined to score zero points on Saturday, it feels as if Tennessee reaching a bowl game is a lock. The same could even be said about winning out and finishing the season at 7-5.
