Adjustments were made, the game plan was solid, and Tennessee did what they needed to do: Beat Vanderbilt by multiple scores. My biggest pet peeve from the game was that it seemed like UT stepped off the gas pedal some in the second half and allowed Vanderbilt to have a tiny sign of life when they made it 21-10. But the Vols responded with another touchdown and put the game well out of reach, so it’s only a minor gripe.

As was the theme for the game, Jeremy Pruitt didn’t have many decisions to make, but the game plan in all three phases was excellent. Offensively, Tennessee didn’t need to try to air it out because of the weather, so it committed to running the football and did so exceptionally. Defensively, there was really only one drive in which Vanderbilt had any success.
