I don’t really know what grade to give Tennessee’s special teams. They didn’t really have to do anything on Saturday. The Vols only had one opportunity to return a punt, didn’t return a kick-off, and Brent Cimaglia wasn’t called upon for a field goal. He was perfect on his PATs, and Tennessee’s coverage units did a good job, so I guess I’ll give them a “B.”

Tennessee had a good night on special teams, but it also wasn’t asked to do a ton. Paxton Brooks averaged 42.2 yards per punt and 55.2 yards per kick-off. Marquez Callaway only had one punt return, and Vanderbilt didn’t allow a Tennessee kick return. The Vols coverage teams also had a nice day.
