Marquarius White, a three-star wide receiver and a current target for Tennessee football, is set to announce which college he will play for in 2022 on Thursday, July 8.

White, ranked as the No. 19 overall prospect in the state of Alabama, has 19 Division 1 scholarship offers. Many of which come from notable schools.

Alabama, Michigan, Auburn, Georgia, and Ole Miss are just some of the marquee names that have offered a scholarship to White.

The three-star receiver currently holds two Crystal Ball predictions from 247 Sports, both of which are to Tennessee. White also recently told the publication that he had narrowed his decision to four schools: Tennessee, Ole Miss, Virginia Tech, and Louisville.

White took three official visits in the month of June. The first two were to Virginia Tech and Louisville at the beginning of the month. White then took his final visit before his announcement to Tennessee on June 25.

The Pinson, AL native is 5-foot-10 and weighed in at 155 pounds. He is also a notable track athlete which is translated into his fast-paced style on the field.

The Tennessee football team received good news in the form of two commitments to the team last week. On Thursday, the Vols received a commitment from three-star defensive lineman Jordan Phillips.

Then on Friday, Tennessee followed that up with a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Masai Reddick.

Ultimately, some of the three-star rankings might be underwhelming on the surface. Especially compared to what has been more usual in the past. But with the fallout still around the program and the coaching staff in their first summer in Tennessee, there will be growing pains.

Right now, everything for coach Josh Heupel is about establishing a foundation. And Marquarius White would certainly be a solid tool for Tennessee to do that.
