With the calendar about to turn from spring to summer, college football season is getting closer-and-closer. And with the spring transfer portal period over, rosters across the country are set or almost set.

Draft Kings released its SEC team win totals for the 2023 season over the weekend with the sports book setting Tennessee’s regular season over/under at 9.5 wins.

The Vols are tied with LSU for the third highest overall win total in the conference coming in behind Georgia (11.5) and Alabama (10.5).

Tennessee ranks ahead of 10 SEC teams including Ole Miss (7.5), Arkansas (7.5), Texas A&M (7.5), South Carolina (6.5), Kentucky (6.5), Mississippi State (6.5), Missouri (6.5), Auburn (6.5), Florida (5.5) and Vanderbilt (3.5).

Tennessee is coming off its best season in two decades when they posted a 10-2 regular season record before beating Clemson in the Orange Bowl. The Vols have to replace an abundance of talent from their 2022 team, most notably SEC Offensive Player of the Year and star quarterback Hendon Hooker.

Joe Milton III is poised to step into Hooker’s role as starting quarterback as he did for the Vols final two games last season after Hooker tore his ACL. In two games as the starter in 2022, Milton completed 61% of his passes for 398 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions.

Tennessee’s 2023 schedule includes its annual seven SEC matchups against eastern division foes and Alabama as well as a home matchup against Texas A&M and non conference bouts with Virginia, UTSA, UConn and Austin Peay.
