NFC Divisional Playoffs Lions vs. Buccaneers odds, prop bets, and prediction

The NFL Wild Card round is in the books, and we’re on to the Divisional Playoffs. In the battle for a spot in the NFC Championship game, the No. 4 Tampa Bay Buccaneers are traveling to Detroit to take on the No. 3 Detroit Lions.

The Lions punched their ticket to this round of the playoffs with a one-point win over the Los Angeles Rams and their former QB Matt Stafford. It was their first playoff win since 1992. The Bucs, on the other hand, clobbered their wild-card opponent, beating the Philadelphia Eagles 32-9.

The game kicks off on Sunday, January 20, at 3 p.m. ET and is broadcasting on NBC. We’ve got what you need to know about the Lions vs. Buccaneers odds, props, and predictions. Plus, for those betting this weekend, we’ve got the best sportsbook bonuses to use on the NFL right now.

Lions vs. Bucs Betting Odds for NFC Divisional Playoffs

Trash talk is already flying between the Lions and Bucs players, and we’re hyped for what should be a great showdown on Sunday.

The Lions opened as 6.5-point home favorites. Detroit has one win against Tampa Bay already when they beat the Bucs 20-6 in Week 6. But this Bucs team has gone through quite the transformation since then, winning five of their final six games and making a splash in their first playoff game. QB Baker Mayfield set a playoff record by throwing for 337 yards and three touchdowns against the once-great Eagles.

The winner of this game will go on to the NFC Championship Game against the winner of the Green Bay Packers vs. San Francisco 49ers game.

Lions vs. Bucs Best Prop Bet: David Montgomery anytime TD scorer (-115 odds at BetMGM Sportsbook)

Montgomery led the Lions’ squad with 13 touchdowns in the regular season, and he scored the first touchdown in their opening playoff game against the Rams. He left early in the Lions’ first game against the Bucs, so he didn’t score, but we think he’ll be ready here.

You could also go with Jahmyr Gibbs as an anytime scorer, with a slightly better return on your bet at +105 on Caesars Sportsbook.

Lions vs. Bucs Prediction: Bucs +6.5 (-108 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook)

We think the Lions will win this one, but you’re not going to get good returns by betting on the moneyline here. Instead, we’re going with the Buccaneers to cover the 6.5-point spread.

They’ve just been a different team than they were when the Lions last met them, and Mayfield has been far more consistent. If he can keep that up, the Bucs should be able to keep it to a one-score game.
