AFC Championship: Top 3 Prop Bets for Ravens vs. Chiefs in NFL Playoffs

Four teams remain in the NFL Playoffs, and we have a lens on the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Jan. 28, with the top 3 prop bets for Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs.

The Ravens handled business at home last weekend against the Houston Texans. What started out as a battle and a competitive game in the first half for both teams turned quickly in the second half. After a speech from QB Lamar Jackson and a couple adjustments made at half time, the Ravens pulled away and finished the job. Now the attention turns to a Chiefs team that has been in headlines since Week 1. There is a narrative that if you want to be the best, you have to beat the best, and Jackson & company will have an opportunity on Sunday.

From Taylor Swift to dropped passes, the Chiefs have been must watch TV all season. In his six seasons as a starter, QB Patrick Mahomes has reached the AFC championship game six times. Love them or hate them, the road to the Super Bowl runs through the Chiefs. This season feels as if KC has taken a step back, or it could be that the rest of this league is catching up. Despite all of the negative,  the Chiefs have knocked off two of the most feared teams in the league in the Bills and Dolphins, and are peaking at the right moment. Now it’s time for this team to kick it into the next gear.

While the action in the NFL Playoffs is heating up as we get closer to Super Bowl 58, the best sportsbook bonuses are ramping up as well. You can use your bonuses to wager on the games this weekend and perhaps one of the top 3 prop bets for the AFC Championship.

Top 3 Prop Bets for Ravens vs. Chiefs in AFC Championship

Patrick Mahomes Under 241.5 Passing Yards (-111 odds at Caesars Sportsbook)

Mahomes in his last eight games has not thrown under 200 yards — an impressive feat for sure — but in a classic battle last week against Josh Allen and the Bills, Mahomes threw for 215 yards. Baltimore has the No. 1 scoring defense and has a better secondary than Buffalo. Something to keep track of is CB Marlon Humphrey’s injury situation. Humphrey is hopeful to return to the field for this conference championship game, and was limited in practice this week.

There is no doubt Kansas City TE Travis Kelce will get a lot of attention this game but for Mahomes to surpass over 241.5 passing yards, Mahomes will need to find answers on the field elsewhere, which is likely but not enough to achieve the over on this line.

Travis Kelce Anytime TD Scorer (+115 odds at FanDuel Sportsbook)

After having an impressive two touchdown performance against the Bills, this betting market deserves a look. Outside of his most recent game, Kelce had quite a rough patch when it came to finding the end zone this season. The Cincinnati alum had a seven game streak without scoring a touchdown.

Last year, he caught a touchdown against the Bengals, and Mahomes’ favorite target has to be in the same position this year. This one is as simple as it gets: The best offensive player on the field not playing QB has to get the ball and has to score, and Kelce being the best security blanket in the NFL will have to score if the Chiefs look to push past the Ravens at home.

Lamar Jackson Over 65.5 Rushing Yards (-110 odds at Bet365 Sportsbook)

The MVP favorite has hit the Over in this betting market in three of his last five games. The biggest of these rushing performances came in the Divisional Playoff game against the Houston Texans. When playing the Texans at home, Jackson rushed for 100 yards on 11 carries, averaging 9.1 yards per carry. Jackson also found the endzone twice in their 34-10 win.

Jackson is the definition of dual-threat QB and at home, he is an entirely different animal. The Kansas City defense has played at an elite level all season with Chris Jones leading the charge, but the home field advantage is an edge for Baltimore. If Jackson can open up the field early with a couple of passes for 20+ yards, he can easily hit the over on this prop.
