Tennessee participated in its third practice of the fall camp slate on Wednesday. As usual, the Vols started out on the indoor field with conditioning and light position work before moving outside to really start getting into the flow of practice.

While the first two days of the media slate featured only true freshman players, Tennessee opened things up a bit for Wednesday. Starter and backup quarterbacks Nico Iamaleava and Jake Merklinger both spoke to the media for a few moments today, as did Arizona State transfer offensive lineman Wendell Moe Jr. and Notre Dame transfer offensive lineman Sam Pendleton.
Iamaleava is heading into his third overall season and second as the Vols’ starting quarterback, looking to lead the Volunteers back to the College Football Playoffs in his redshirt sophomore year.
Tennessee offensive coordinator Joey Halzle also spoke to the media on Wednesday, touching on his opening impressions of spring camp, new additions to the team, Iamaleava’s leadership growth, his quarterback room, and much more.
