Rick Barnes added an international piece to the Vols’ 2025 recruiting class on Wednesday afternoon with French shooting guard Clarence Massamba.
The talented 6-foot-5 prospect will come to Rocky Top with some pretty significant experience as a member of France’s AS Monaco last year. Massamba’s role was mainly spent on AS Monaco’s U21 team, but he did put up 9.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game last year. That’s also on top of his 45% shooting from the floor and 34% from behind the three-point arc.
Massamba gives Tennessee a versatile piece to develop and compete with on the perimeter. His addition also comes just one day after Tennessee landed Louisiana Tech shooting guard Amaree Abram out of the portal, who also bolsters Tennessee’s lineup of guards.
