6. Lost His Edge?
Remember when all Spurrier did was throw barbs (usually at Tennessee)? Can’t spell Citrus without UT comes to mind. Once, he referred to John Chavis as “Chavez.” As in “Chavez is a fine defensive coordinator.” So patronizing. It’s like Yeah, that dude whose name I can’t remember is okay, I guess.
He doesn’t troll quite that hard anymore. Sure, he still throws some zingers here and there, but Spurrier seems like he’s lost his edge a bit. As if he’s more concerned with, I dunno, other matters. Like he seems to be in the photo above. Such focus may have even spilled over into his exercise habits as evidenced by…
