Overall
The Vols thought they could win and they almost pulled it off. Nobody wants to hear about moral victories, so there’s no way to say that this was a good outcome for the Vols, even though they did a lot of good things in it. This performance could serve as a springboard to a 5-0 finish for UT since the Vols could be favored in every game going forward and an 8-4 season with a chance to win a ninth in a bowl game. If it does that, it is fair to say that some good came from this, but if UT drops one or two it shouldn’t down the stretch, this will just be another chapter in the story of what might’ve been for UT in 2015.
