7. Jalen Hurd as Chewbacca
The toughest, most fearsome good guy in all the films was Chewbacca, Han Solo’s furry, lovable companion who could also rip off a man’s arms with ease. Although soft at heart, Chewbacca can deal out massive amounts of damage and should never be taken lightly.
And if there’s one player on Tennessee’s roster who compares to that, it’s definitely Jalen Hurd.
Hurd has shown the ability time and again to run over people and deal out more punishment than he receives game in and game out. He is one of the most fearless Vols on the roster, and he is also one of the toughest.
And as lovable as Chewbacca is, Hurd is just as beloved by Vol fans right now. And that love will likely only grow as Hurd creeps up on Tennessee’s all-time rushing list.
Tennessee’s opponents should listen to C-3P0’s advice to R2-D2 in Episode IV: Let the Wookie (Hurd) win.
Notable mention: Linebacker/defensive end Curt Maggitt could also be cast as Chewbacca due to his fearless attitude and ability to destroy opposing quarterbacks and running backs.
