Joshua Dobbs got just enough air on a deep pass to Josh Malone for a 65-yard touchdown that got the Vols back in the game. Outside of that, there wasn’t much to like from the quarterback position. Dobbs made several bad decisions – including a poor throw before the half that likely cost the Vols at least three points. He didn’t get a ton of help from the O-line, and a dropped pass in the end zone by Preston Williams was costly as well. Dobbs was 16-of-29 overall for 192 yards through the air, and ran for minus-4 yards. Not the performance overall that UT was looking for.
