Overall
There’s no reason to go into complete panic mode. Good teams have poor showings from time to time. Appalachian State is a quality team that will win 10+ games this year most likely, but there’s still no excuse overall for UT’s performance Thursday night. Now the big question is if that was a slow start and a bit of anomaly, or if it was a sign that the Vols are overrated and overhyped. It won’t take long to have a better idea with Bristol looming in nine days and Florida just around the bend after that. But don’t kid yourself – UT was fortunate on many levels to win this opener.
