Offensive Line
Josh Dobbs was sacked twice and rushed several other times, but the line looked slightly better than it did against Appalachian State – especially considering Virginia Tech’s defensive front was much bigger than the Mountaineers from last week. But the line still struggled in pass protection far too often, and the run game at times worked more in spite of the line rather than because of it. The Vols are still trying to find the right five in this group, but Jack Jones made a case that he should be in it.
