Tennessee’s defensive backs didn’t have a bad night, but they didn’t have a great one either. All in all, it was a serviceable game that didn’t see too many mistakes from this unit. Justin Martin was flagged for several penalties, and nobody intercepted a pass. But Jerod Evans’ damage was limited, and Rashaan Gaulden and Emmanuel Moseley both had solid nights. Micah Abernathy, who set a new school record with three fumble recoveries, continues to have a great nose for the ball.
