The day Pruitt was announced s Tennessee’s head coach, Vol fans got excited about his recruiting ability because four-star receiver Jacob Copeland tweeted out his approval of Pruitt and his newfound passion for Tennessee.
Copeland, a four-star receiver and top receiver in the state of Florida, formed a relationship with Pruitt while he was at Alabama, and he immediately made the Vols one of his top schools once Pruitt was hired. Copeland holds offers from nearly three dozen schools, and Alabama was considered the favorite to land the one-time Florida commit until Pruitt’s move.
Robert Gillespie and new Vol staff member Terry Fair visited Copeland on December 8th, and Copeland is expected to visit Tennessee on December 15th. The Vols are trending in the right direction for Copeland, and it would be big for Pruitt and his staff if they can seal the deal on him.
