Outside Linebacker
Right now, outside linebacker isn’t a gigantic need for the Vols, but they’d like to add a big piece at this position if possible. Jalil Clemons recently committed to Tennessee, and though he’s listed as a defensive end, he’ll be an outside linebacker in UT’s defense. But the Vols’ staff would like to add a premier pass rusher in this class.
Five-star Henry To’oto’o is the top name to watch at this position, and lower rated guys such as Jamie Pettway are also names to keep in mind. Four-star in-state linebacker Kane Patterson is also a name to watch.
The Vols won’t necessarily be hurting for depth at outside linebacker in 2019, so that’s why this position isn’t higher up on this list. But Tennessee’s staff will still look to add another pass rusher or two in this cycle.
