It’s hard to criticize too greatly when a team wins by 56 points. The Vols still have things to work out on the offensive line and with their pass rush, but this Saturday went much better than the previous weekend. Tennessee bounced back and got the big blowout win Vol fans wanted to see.
Ben: A
A win is a win for Tennessee at this point, especially when you beat someone 59-3. The Vols haven’t beat down an inferior opponent in what seems like forever. It’s a step in the right direction. Now they key is following it up with a similar performance against a bad UTEP team next Saturday. All three phases of the game played well against East Tennessee State, and that’s a credit to Pruitt. He had his team ready to play following last week’s debacle.
