The Tennessee Volunteers’ historic season has officially come to a close. On a sunny day in Knoxville, Notre Dame defeated Tennessee by a score of 7-3 to take the best-of-three series in the Knoxville Super Regional.

Tennessee outfielder Drew Gilbert made his triumphant return on Sunday. After Gilbert was ejected from Friday’s game, the Tennessee outfielder was suspended for Saturday’s game against Notre Dame, leading to a rambunctious return to the diamond.
