1. Tennessee should be favored in the East next year
Preseason rankings and projections don’t mean a ton when it’s all said and done. They’re often wrong – and can put unneeded pressure and expectations on teams. But like it or not, the expectations are coming for the Vols. And with the strong finish to 2015, the return of all that talent and an SEC East that is in disarray in many ways, the Vols will have every opportunity to win their division next year. Will they? We’ll find out in 2016, but there will be few excuses for Butch Jones and the Vols if they don’t.
