3. Tennessee matches up well against the Big Ten
It’d be a bit presumptuous to say that Tennessee owns the Big Ten because of the limited sample size. The Vols, however, have rolled against teams that were supposedly close to evenly matched against them the last two years. Both Iowa and Northwestern came into their game against UT with a better overall record, but the Vols easily dismissed both – showing a clear edge in speed, strength, depth and overall talent in the process. The Vols need to knock off the likes of Ohio State, Michigan or Michigan State to truly prove complete domination over the conference, but you’d have to like UT’s chance against a majority of Big Ten challengers.
