Defensive Line
Derek Barnett wasn’t in the game very long and only recorded one tackle, but he didn’t have to do a whole lot in this one. Tennessee’s defensive line didn’t have a bad game at all, pressuring Tech’s quarterbacks while helping to hold the Golden Eagles to just 60 rushing yards on 38 carries. LaTroy Lewis and Kendall Vickers combined for a sack, and Dimarya Mixon and Corey Vereen had a sack each. Darrell Taylor played well in garbage time, and several reserves got action as well, most notably Paul Bain and Charles Folger.
