Special Teams
What was just a fairly solid day in the special teams department turned into an impressive night in the fourth quarter. Freshman Marquez Callaway ripped off a 52-yard punt return on his first career return in the second half, then he took his second career punt return 62 yards for a touchdown for Tennessee’s final score of the night. Add that in with a solid kick return by Tyler Byrd, a stellar day by Trevor Daniel (including a punt downed inside the 5), and good coverage on both punt and kick teams, and the Vols had a great day on special teams.
