The only thing keeping the Vols’ running backs from getting a better grade is their inability to hold on to the ball. Luckily for UT, neither Ty Chandler’s or Madre London’s fumbles came back to bite Tennessee. Other than those two mistakes, the Vols’ running back duo of Chandler and Tim Jordan proved to be extremely effective. Chandler led the way with 89 yards on 16 carries while Jordan added 63 yards and a touchdown on 15 attempts. He also had two catches for 41 yards, and Guarantano delivered a perfect strike to him that went for 34 yards that set UT’s offense up inside the 10. Jordan would punch it in from there.

The running backs would have gotten an ‘A’ here had Ty Chandler and Madre London not fumbled twice in the fourth quarter. Those fumbles could have proven costly had Kentucky taken advantage of them. Other than that, the running back room had a tremendous day. Chandler and Tim Jordan combined to rush for 152 rushing yards and a touchdown against a talented Wildcats defense. Jordan also added two catches for 41 yards, including one catch for 34 yards that set up a 3-yard rushing touchdown from the sophomore.
