The numbers may not show it, but this was the best performance by Tennessee’s wide receivers aside from the Auburn game. Marquez Callaway had an incredible Hail Mary touchdown grab and also caught another long pass, Jordan Murphy made a couple of huge plays both in the passing game and on a reverse in the run game, and Jauan Jennings made a good catch and was invaluable as a blocker. Dominick Wood-Anderson built off his solid showing against Charlotte and hauled in his second touchdown of the season.

Similar to Guarantano, the numbers weren’t spectacular, but when their name was called, Tennessee’s wide receivers and tight ends produced. Marquez Callaway had a spectacular 39-yard touchdown reception on a Hail Mary at the end of the first half and Dominick Wood-Anderson hauled in a 2-yard score in the third quarter. I thought Jordan Murphy was the most impressive receiver, though. Murphy reeled in a beautiful 38-yard catch in the first quarter, and then took a reverse 59-yards to set up a Tennessee touchdown.
