Paul Bain is one of the more sentimental favorites among the Vols’ group of 11 scholarship seniors graduating this year. Bain started out as a walk-on defensive lineman, and he worked two jobs outside of football to help pay for school.

But Bain was awarded a scholarship this season after the Vols’ first game of the season, and he got to spend his final season with Tennessee on scholarship.

This year, Bain has made his biggest contributions as a Vol, but he burst onto the scene in 2017 when he blocked Georgia Tech’s field goal attempt in the fourth quarter that was trying to give the Yellow Jackets the victory. The Vols wound up winning that game in double overtime.

In 15 career appearances, Bain has made 10 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a fumble recovery, and a blocked field goal.
