I’m a little more lenient on Tennessee’s offensive line in this game because they actually played better than I thought they would against arguably the toughest front seven they’ll face this season. The only other team I think might be better is Florida, and UT’s O-line played just as good if not better against Georgia than they did the Gators. Yes, things went downhill in the second half, and that’s where I penalize this unit the most. But it could’ve been a lot worse, and considering how young and out-matched the Vols’ offensive line was, Saturday’s performance wasn’t bad at all.

Tennessee’s offensive line played strong at times, particularly in the first half. The unit opened up holes for the running backs and kept Maurer fairly clean — until the second half. Georgia finished the night with three sacks including a forced fumble that resulted in a 60-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown. Against one of the premier front sevens in the country, Tennessee’s O-line held its own.
