While the missed tackles by Tennessee’s linebackers were atrocious and the Bulldogs still managed to accumulate a ton of rushing yards, I’m not willing to give the Vols’ linebacking corps a failing grade for Saturday. They got real darn close to getting it, but I thought Henry To’o To’o made some good plays at times, and Quavaris Crouch flashed a lot of potential in some moments. When you consider how ridiculously thin UT is at inside linebacker, I’m also willing to cut them a little bit of slack. The Vols’ outside linebackers were a disappointment as a whole again, though.

Tennessee’s linebackers struggled for most of the night. Along with the defensive line, the Vols front seven failed to generate any pressure or any push against Georgia’s rushing attack. Fromm wasn’t sacked once, and Georgia’s running backs averaged 6.8 yards per carry. The missed tackles weren’t very pretty either.
