10. The Vols were focused and motivated
That was one of the big questions coming into this game – would the Vols be focused and motivated for a bowl game that clearly was below what they were expecting? There was some doubt early in the game when Tennessee came out sloppy in the first quarter. But after that sluggish start, Tennessee pieced together a quick 14-0 stretch early in the second quarter that showed that the Vols were there to play.
