6. John Kelly is ready to be the featured back
Alvin Kamara will be missed, there’s no question. You simply can’t replace his versatility and athleticism. But sophomore John Kelly is ready to be the featured back in this offense in 2017. He showed that on Friday with 15 carries for 70 yards and an impressive 28-yard touchdown around the left end where he turned on the jets to beat the Husker defenders to get to the end zone. He’ll need some help from the likes of Carlin Fils-Aime, commitment Ty Chandler and others. But Kelly looks like he can be a 1,000-yard rusher in 2017.
