9. Derek Barnett is the greatest pass rusher in school history
That feels like a bold statement because of Tennessee’s history in this department. But the numbers don’t lie after Barnett broke Reggie White’s career sack mark with 33. It wasn’t just the numbers, however. Barnett was absolutely relentless. Nebraska offensive lineman Nick Gates didn’t have much of a prayer. Barnett was double-teamed, held and ran away from all afternoon. He still got his record-breaking sack and affected the game on a regular basis in what will likely be his last time in a Tennessee jersey.
