Grading the Vols’ Offseason Coaching Hires

Rock Gullickson, Strength and Conditioning

One area the Vols need the largest amount of improvement in heading into the 2017 season is the strength and conditioning program. The Vols suffered a staggering amount of injuries last season and appeared ill-prepared from a conditioning standpoint in several games.

Enter Rock Gullickson, a man with a strong name and a strong track record of success.

Gullickson has been at the NFL level since 2000, working for New Orleans, Green Bay, and the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams during that time. He also worked with Louisville, Texas, and Rutgers at the collegiate level throughout the 1990s. Gullickson has a record of successfully restructuring strength and conditioning programs, and his NFL experience should prove valuable to Tennessee.
