Pruitt has had said nothing but glowing remarks about senior defensive end Kyle Phillips since the beginning of spring. Whether it’s his effort on the field or in the classroom, Pruitt has raved about Phillips whenever he’s been asked about him.

The former five-star prospect out of middle Tennessee seems like an obvious choice for Pruitt to take to SEC Media Days. Phillips is heading into a pivotal final year with the Vols, and it’s clear that Pruitt wants him to be a focal point of his new defense. While he hasn’t lived up to expectations during his time with Tennessee, Phillips is a good representative of the university both on and off the field.

Phillips is almost a guarantee to join Pruitt in Atlanta. The other two options, however, are a little more up in the air.
