You won’t find many players on Tennessee’s roster with more hype around them heading into the 2018 season than Nigel Warrior. After a stellar 2017 campaign, Warrior appears poised for a great junior season this year and could vault to the NFL afterwards.
Warrior spoke to the media some in the spring, so he’s obviously trusted by Tennessee’s new staff to represent the university in a media setting. He’s also one of the most talented players on the Vols’ whole roster and should be a starter at safety for Tennessee. As I said before, Pruitt likes defensive backs and specializes in coaching that unit. I would be surprised if he doesn’t take at least one defensive back with him to SEC Media Days.
