3. Dylan Wiesman
After an offseason of praise and accolades, Dylan Wiesman appeared to be ready for a solid season. But after one game in 2016, those hopes have been dowsed quite a bit.
Wiesman let far too many Appalachian State players into the Vols’ backfield on Thursday night, and he was one of the main reasons Tennessee’s offensive line struggled so mightily in Tennessee’s opener.
Many thought the Vols’ offensive line would be improved in 2016. That didn’t look to be the case against Appalachian State, and Wiesman needs a much better second game if he wants to keep his job.
