10. Alvin Kamara
Tennessee has a loaded backfield with both Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara in the running back corps. But Hurd ran the show last week, and Kamara only picked up nine total touches in the game. He needs more than that.
Now, it wasn’t Kamara’s fault he was underutilized vs. Appalachian State. But Kamara absolutely needs to get the ball more in his hands than he did in Tennessee’s opener. Kamara averaged 10.8 touches a game last season, and that was far too little considering he averaged just over seven yards a play in 2015.
The coaches promised Kamara would get more play in 2016. So far, they haven’t delivered. That needs to change in Tennessee’s second game and moving forward.
